A BMX race is a head-to-head moto (heat) of up to 8 racers of the same age and skill level. A race starts from the starting gate where all riders leave at the same time and race as fast as they can over dirt jumps, around banked corners to the finish line. The words 'Race Ya' take on a whole new meaning. The winner is the racer who gets to the finish line first.
Typically you will race 3 motos (heats) per event and more if you qualify for quarter, semi and the main-event finals. BMX is fun, exciting, and the skills you learn in BMX can help you to excel in various other cycling sports.
A day at the track typically includes racing, special events, awards for participation, such as trophies and plaques, and a great social setting to meet new people. Everyone gets to compete, and unlike many team sports, you’ll never have to sit on the bench.

We are all glad of this hall, rebuilt from an old hall to a bicross hall situated in a village called Šenkvice about 25 km far from Bratislava. The indoor hall is a great advantage for the racers. Their training is regular and not influenced by the weather. The most important of all is that the training is yearlong. Winter conditioning is necessary for the sportsmen.
When "football" or "hockey" is said, everybody - elderly but also young people - know the sports. But there are only a few people, who know about the great high results of the Slovak representatives of bicross. This progress is the main interest for The Cycling Club TWISTER in its activities (to appeal the youth about bicross as a sport). But the interest is not based only on the appealing, but firstly to let those interested get a dose of it. Children will get to know the age bracket or professional racers on the training and happenings and they could compare their performance. And they will also find new friends, because ...
